This year we’ll be at SentryWorld in Stevens Point! And we’re looking for those of you willing to share your experience, projects, ideas, and other cool stuff:
🗣 Session presentations — A 1-hour long presentation or panel on a topic relevant to the WiscNet community. You can present alone, with a colleague inside or outside your organization, or a group.
Here are some good things to know:
What are we looking for? WiscNet Connections draws in an interesting cross-section of WiscNet’s membership, which is a diverse crowd of K12 school districts, higher education, library systems, municipalities and counties, government organizations, and healthcare. We intentionally try to keep it weird by soliciting and choosing unconventional topics and people who are fired up about them.
How on earth do I tailor anything to such a wide audience? You don’t. We ask people interested in presenting to bring their passion about whatever topic and take a chance. Likewise, we like to stretch the thinking and experience of our attendees (and ourselves!) People from various fields have an opportunity not only to cross paths at this conference but to learn a surprising amount from one another.
How do I submit a proposal? FIll out the form below👇 Don't stress about having all the details — what we're looking for right now is your excellent ideas, and, if you plan to co-present, who those folks are. We'll hash out the rest together later.
What if my proposal for a session is chosen? Well, you'll have to speak in public, so fair warning. We'll let know by the end of January so you'll have 3+ months to psych yourself up. And, we'll cover your conference registration as a thank you for putting yourself out there.
If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to say hello because I haven't darkened your inbox door for a minute, contact Sarah Miller at sarahmiller@wiscnet.net or 608-210-3957.
