Join us on October 26 to chat with MS-ISAC and CIS
We know security is still top of mind, so we’ve invited two experts to a virtual chat so we – and you, of course – can learn more.
Join us on Zoom on Thursday, October 26 from 10:00-11:00am to hear from Megan Incerto, a Regional Engagement Manager for the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center™ (MS-ISAC®), and Semona Houghlan, an Account Executive for the Center for Internet Security (CIS) as they share their professional knowledge and how their organizations are uniquely positioned to support the WiscNet membership in this area.
Megan manages the MS-ISAC® members in the Midwest and East Coast, while Semona manages the Services members and deployments of the West half of the United States. Both works closely with our nation's State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) governments, including all public entities, to provide low-cost cybersecurity services to improve members cybersecurity posture, hygiene, and resiliency.
Our guests will have short presentations, covering the following topics:
MS-ISAC – who they are, and some of the no-cost and low-cost cybersecurity resources and tools that are available to State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial governments (SLTTs).
Incident Response and how specific tools from the MS-ISAC can play a role in preparing for and recovering from an incident.
How you can utilize tools like our CIS Controls and Nationwide Cybersecurity Review to gain insight into your current cyber security maturity level and how you can use these tools to create a comprehensive roadmap for your cybersecurity plan.
CIS offerings and how they can help protect our members environments – they will focus on Albert, a passive intrusion detection system, Endpoint Security Services and MDBR Plus (Malicious Domain Blocking and Reporting.
Can’t make it? Register anyway! We record each of our Teach & Learn events (when we are able) and share the recording, along with a chat transcript, a few days afterward.
As always, we look forward to teaching and learning alongside the rest of the WiscNet community.
